Join the Mission

Experience the joy and fulfillment of helping lost, unwanted and abandoned animals find their forever home. Whether or not you’re interested in spending time with pets, or helping out around the shelter, we have opportunities for you. There are so many ways the animal shelter and our companions can benefit from you!

                                                Volunteering

Volunteering your time is a great way to help shelter pets and give back to the community. Right now, the shelter is in great need of cleaning assistance and general care for the animals. Dog walking is an option for those interested in giving the canines a break from their enclosures. Not a dog person? No problem! Our felines would love a lap to relax on or a chance to play with a toy.

There are so many ways to get involved at the shelter. Volunteers can also participate in adoption events and activities outside of the shelter. It’s also a great experience that looks good on college applications.

Volunteers must be at least 16 years old. We can’t wait to meet you!

Food/Supplies Drive

Donations help us provide daily care, medical treatment, and comfort for the animals in our shelter. Monetary donations go directly toward veterinary care, food, and other essential needs.

We are always in need of supplies, and every item makes a difference. Please check our donations list to see what we currently accept, and contact the shelter ahead of time, as some items are in greater need than others. We do accept open bags of dog and cat food.

                                             Fostering

Not ready to adopt? Fostering might be just right for you. Sometimes, the greatest gift you can give an animal is a little extra TLC and a temporary place to call home.

Our foster program provides short-term care for animals recovering from injury, those needing round-the-clock medical care, nursing moms with puppies or kittens, orphaned animals that need bottle feeding, and pets who need a temporary place to stay when the shelter reaches capacity.

Join our foster program and help save lives.

                                               Scout Programs

We welcome Boy and Girl Scouts to consider us when earning badges or going for the coveted Eagle and Gold award. We have worked with many scouts earning their top achievement and are happy to be the beneficiary of their hard work along with the animals in our community. Several projects have been to construct dog houses to give out at the shelter for those in need of them. There are other projects that can be done as well!

Please reach out to us to discuss options! Keep up the awesome work you scouts do for our community!

Help us spread the word about the importance of adopting a shelter companion! We also post important updates and upcoming events!
