Experience the joy and fulfillment of helping lost, unwanted and abandoned animals find their forever home. Whether or not you’re interested in spending time with pets, or helping out around the shelter, we have opportunities for you. There are so many ways the animal shelter and our companions can benefit from you!
Volunteer
**DUE TO A LARGE NUMBER OF APPLICATIONS, WE ARE UNABLE TO TAKE ANY NEW VOLUNTEER APPLICATIONS UNTIL JANUARY 1, 2024. PLEASE CHECK BACK WITH US IN THE NEW YEAR**
Volunteering your time is a great way to help shelter pets. Right now, the shelter is in great need of cleaning assistance and general care of the animals! Dog walking is an option for those interested in giving the canines a break from their enclosure. Not a dog person? No problem! Our felines could use a lap to lay on or would love to take a swing at a cat toy! There are so many ways to be involved at the animal shelter! You may also chose to participate in the animal shelter's adoption events or activities outside the shelter! Our volunteers must be at least 16 years or older. We can't wait to meet you!
Food/Supplies Drive
Money can truly buy love...or a yummy treat or two. We are always in need of donations. Please check out our donations list to see what we accept. (Please contact the animal shelter first. Some items we are more in need of then others.) We accept open dog and cat food.
Scout Programs
We welcome Boy and Girl Scouts to consider us when earning badges or going for the coveted Eagle and Gold award. We have worked with many scouts earning their top achievement and are happy to be the beneficiary of their hard work along with the animals in our community. Several projects have been to construct dog houses to give out at the shelter for those in need of them. There are other projects that can be done as well ! Please reach out to us to discuss options! Keep up the awesome work you scouts do for our community!
Fostering
Not ready to adopt? Fostering might be just for you! Sometimes, the greatest gift you can give an animal is a little extra TLC and a temporary place to call "home". Our fostering program provides temporary care for animals who are recovering from an injury or need round the clock medical care, nursing mama's with puppies or kittens, animals without a mother who still need to be bottle fed, or whenever the shelter reaches capacity and needs temporary housing to open kennel space. Join our foster program and help save lives!

We are active on Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter. The more community exposure our shelter pets get, the more likely they are to find their forever home. If you are active on any of these social media platforms, we ask that you take the time to "like or follow" us and share our posts. Help us spread the word about the importance of adopting a shelter companion! We also post important updates and upcoming events!
