For Our Younger Volunteers

Interested in making a difference in your community?

Here at the Stafford County Animal Shelter we love the giving hearts of our younger helpers.  Stafford County currently requires that our volunteers be at least 16 years old to help on-site, but there many ways to help our shelter pets from home.

The following links contain ideas to common projects that are needed by the shelter, but we are always open to other ideas.  Please feel free to contact us with your great idea!!

DIY Catnip Toy

DIY No-Sew Cat Bed

DIY Cork Cat Toys

DIY Cat Scratchers

DIY T-Shirt Dog Toy

Food/Toy Drive (wish list items to collect)

Lemonade Stand/Bake Sale (proceeds can be used to purchase items from our wish list)

Dog Houses (Great Eagle Scout Project - contact the shelter for info)
